During a review of a DFPS investigation, this standard was reviewed and found to be deficient. Children engaged in rough play and fighting without caregiver intervention. The caregiver was cleaning up snack, and the children were not visual awareness. Based on the lack of intervention, there was not auditory awareness to allow for caregiver intervention. The child altercation resulted in minor injuries.
