Based on LPA observations and Licensee interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. LPA observed in accessible kitchen, knives in the sink, Lysol all-purpose spray and disinfecting wipes underneath the kitchen sink which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

LPA discussed the meaning of accessible and off-limits areas. Licensee stated she there is a mesh safety gate that separates the kitchen area from the living room. LPA informed Licensee, the mesh safety gate MUST be always secured and if the areas are off-limits then no children can be in the area. Licensee stated she understood and will ensure compliance moving forward.
