maintain a lead value at or below the Action Level for water lead testing resulting with values of 5.5 ppb or greater for the exterior water fountain. Water testing results identified with Action Level Exceedance (ALE) as defined in WD section 101700.3. are not deemed safe to drink. Based on record review, the Lic. did not comply with the above directive; the exterior water fountain tested with an ALE. This poses as a potential Health & Safety risk to children in care.

The facility has removed the impacted outlet that tested with an ALE. Director said that children in care are given alternative potable water, by using alternate outlets and a water cooler. Director said parents will be notified of the lead exceedances via letter. This deficiency has been cleared.

Based on observations, file reviews and statement of Lead Teacher Beatrix Sosa, , the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in the infant (age 2 years and under) did not have completed Infant Safe Sleep logs, which poses as a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
