Based on interviews conducted, record review and video footage review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above when a child was left alone in a classroom which poses an immediate health and safety risk to children in care.
A correction plan is recorded. No state verification date is shown.
Recorded plan of correction
Director stated that by 09/29/23, an in-service training will be provided to discuss and remind staff to implement child transition procedures, to include the use of walkie talkies for communication, along with reminding staff to count children during transitions, and use the written transition log when any transition occurs. Director stated she will submit a training outline and a copy of the staff sign-in sheet to the San Diego Regional Office by 10/3/23.
