assist a room in ratio. During the initial census LPA observed Staff 1 supervising 12 children before she was replaced in ratio by the director. Director stated that Staff 1 is an aide and does not have qualifications for a teacher. This is considered an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care.

Director stated that the food will be prepped the night before so no one has to help prepare/serve food in the morning. Director stated that she and assistant director will be able to step in as needed in the classrooms. LPA will conduct an inspection to observe ratios.

Based on observation and record review, the facility did not comply with the section cited above as LPAs observed Staff #1 and Staff #2 were observed supervising children in a preschool classroom, and both were determined to be aides, which posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
