Based on interviews, staff did not ensure they were applying the correct diaper rash cream on children in care causing one child to be in severe pain and unable to walk. Additionally, due to infrequent diaper changes and/or a child not being cleaned properly, contributed to at least two children’s diaper rashes, which poses an immediate Health, Safety, or Personal Rights risk to children in care.

Immediately, Director will ensure effective communication among all teachers working with the same group of children. Licensee will also ensure that all teachers are aware of the individual needs of each child in care. During the month of March 2022, the director reassessed and implemented revised diapering procedures with facility staff. A written statement will be submitted to CCL by the next business day on 6/27/2022 detailing how the deficiency has been corrected, including the revised diapering procedures.
