Per Director, all classroom teachers are aware of C#1’s individual needs and maintain visual supervision and open communication with C#1’s parents regarding the child’s care and development. Additionally, teachers provide additional activities to encourage C#1’s participation and engagement with peers and staff. Based on interview and record review, licensee did not ensure child in care was under visual supervision at all times. Child was left alone in classroom, as group transitioned to another area with Staff #2. This posed and immediate risk to the health, safety, and personal rights of children in care.

Per director, they conducted Staff Supervision Training. Copy of training agenda and signing sheet of staff acknowledgment was obtained during visit. Per director, they have a new transition policy that was put in place and on the training agenda. LPA is requesting staff watch Supervising Children in Child Care Centers on... Www.childcarevideos.org/child-care-center/operators/. LPA is instructing staff summaries of their understanding of supervision in the center. Summaries to be submitted to LPA by POC date.
