Standard 102423(a)(2)
Critical
Based on LPA observations and interviews, Licensee utilizes their garage as primary care space for day care children, not the interior of the home. Children eat and sleep in the garage and have to sit, stand, or lay on the ground during activities. This is an immediate health safety and personal rights risk to children in care.
A correction plan is recorded. No state verification date is shown.
Recorded plan of correction
Licensee will immediately cease ALL usage of the garage for day care purposes. Children shall be offered safe, comfortable and healthful accommodations within the on-limits space of the interior of the facility. Within the next 24 hours, Licensee will submit to LPA a declaration of understanding and written statement acknowledging the cessation of garage usage for day care purposes. Additionally, Licensee will submit a new facility sketch listing garage off-limits and on-limits areas of facility.
An Informal Office Conference will be held with CCLD Management and LPA at a later date.

Your tour, better prepared
Questions built from this daycare’s inspection record, plus the practical ones every tour should cover. Tick them off and note the answers as you go.
State records and provider information have separate sources. Provider claims do not establish independently verified care quality. Missing data is not evidence of an issue-free record.
