Based on records reviewed and interviews the facility did not comply with the regulation cited above. LPA Herrera obtained corroborating interviews, and documentation that revealed staff #1 threatened child #1 with scissors, which posed an immediate risk to the health, safety and/or personal rights to children in care.

Director Burrell stated that saff #1 is no longer working in the facility. Director Burell also stated that she will submit training material outlining “Children’s Personal Rights”. The training material will be used for all new and existing staff. Furthermore, Director Burrell will submit a statement as to how the facility will implement the training during their Professional Development Trainings throughout the school year.
