      Buildings and Grounds

      Based on observation the licensee did not comply with the section cited above, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. Type B: 101238(g) - During Facility inspection Licensing Program Analyst observed that the outside shed was not locked and made accesible in the childrens play area. Paint, nails, and a hammer were observed. This can cause a potential hazard to the children in care.

      Plan of correction: Director locked the shed during the visit, and will have staff and herself double check it is closed everyday before children are let out to the backyard.

      Administration of Child Day Care Licensing

      Based on observation and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. There was one staff member providing care and supervision of children that do not have a criminal record clearance or an exemption from the State Department of Social Services prior to employment, residence, or initial presence in the facility which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

      Plan of correction: During today's inspection, uncleared staff member left the facility. Facility Representative understands that a criminal record clearance needs to be granted prior to employment.
